Finished, happy

I'd like to say it was hard work, but I'd be lying. It was fun and I definitely learned a lot of what I can and cannot do. So I'm happy. And this is one of my favorite panels in the GN. Still undecided on what I should do. If I make a tote, then it might get ruined, but I'd like to rock the shit out of it. So I might make it, and eventually cut it and hang it on my wall. Yes, I like it that much. (Or I can stop being a chicken and do what I really wanted: a big mural in my bedroom. What do you mean I'm crazy?)

Anyways....

The materials I used:

The original panel, again:

How it turned out (I don't know why I can't take a straight picture. It's not that crooked)

Some details:

(Needs some touch-ups, I know!)

May I just say, once more, that I ADORE this color palette? I just do- And also, Rorschach. Red. He would not approve. xD

Thank you! <3

I'm trying not to over analyze it and start hating it, like with everything I make. lol

It looks great! But I know how it is to find fault in your own work. I usually hire a friend to sneak in and steal the work in question so I can't look at it anymore. There's a saying somewhere that art is never finished, just taken away (was it Picasso?) and for me at least it's true. You don't have to worry about it with this one though. I say go for the mural.

That saying is so true. Part of why I'm not sure I would like to hang this in my room is because I would grow to hate it, finding flaws. And "wearable art" is kind of cool- I especially like to wear Watchmen related stuff ( partly hoping one day someone will notice and I'll find another local fan) xD

I think some day, not too far in the future, I'll try my hand at the mural. It would certainly be a lot of fun to make.

Oh, and thanks! :)
