Mini rory make over

I wasn’t too happy with the unfinished version I posted yesterday, so I gave him some finishing touches. I also added a little before and after and explanation. Hope you enjoy!

Meet Woody, as he was before his awesome transformation (actually, it's a female, but we make do with what we have, right?). He had friends but no personality, really.

During the transformation.
Like I said before, I only had old clothes to chop up and use for fabric, so my first try was a kakhi trench coat.

I didn't like it.
Once I figured the trenchcoat would look ok, I wanted to add more detail. So, he doesn't have a face (just a tiny nose), but at least he's a red head. Then came the mask; it was the easy part.

I added little gloves and shoes and I was lucky enough to have an old pair of pinstripe pants no one in the house fits in any longer.

Finally!

The hat looks wonky because I half assed it, and I had no idea how to do it. Let's just say it resembles a hat.

Date: 2009-04-03 10:37 pm (UTC)A friend is teaching me how to use the sewing machine (properly) so I might be stealing that idea. :p No matter how many Watchmen related stuff you have/make, it could never be too much!
