I know I promised a while ago I wouldn't read any more reviews about Watchmen, people don't get it blah blah. But I blame Fandom Wank for this. There I was reading the hilarious anon girlfriend bashing by the SPN fans and learning about whatever Russet Noon is when this hit me in the face. X(  [If the name Debbie Schlussel rings a bell, do not click! DO NOT! Also, her site may have crashed my browser. Twice.] Talk about hating something with a passion! I could say hateful things about stuff I don't understand too, and frankly, even thought Watchmen WAS NOT targeted at children, I've seen way worse. Mindless crap custom made for children that I wish could be banished from the face of the Earth... I can list a few.

Now, I have no idea what is up with conservatives and liberals and what have you- I'm thinking either everyone in my country is depraved (could be), or we need more lulzy political parties. All everyone cares about is reducing poverty and increasing security, and nobody gives a damn about what's showing in the movie theaters. WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?

What good came out of this? I just went through that woman's reviews and I realized that what she hates I love (for the most part) so now I can make a list of what I want to watch and what I don't want to watch. See? There is a silver lining. I also felt like giving everyone involved with Watchmen (movie and comic) and all the (not crazy) fans a big hug. Even Alan Moore? ... sure. But let's start with JEH and see where it goes from there. XP

Ugh, I remember when I first read that review back when Watchmen came out. Pissed me off then & it pisses me off now. Watchmen was never marketed to kids, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron. Superhero film does not equal kid's movie. Grrr. . . but I think I'll join you in the Watchmen hugs. ;-)

Yeah, I sometimes forget that some people will immediately assume that "superheroes" or sci-fi or anything animated is for kids... fine, then I never want to grow up... even more. LOL

That lady...gawd when I first read the review when it was posted on WCM I wanted to kill her. Watchmen was CLEARLY marketed to adults. But sadly the majority of American's are retarded and think SUPERHEROES= KIDS! Even though Superheroes have pretty much been for adults for the past...20 or so odd years. Same thing with Sci fi, animation as well. Hell ANimation was originally made up to entertain adult's at movie theaters or over sea's. It was never a kid thing to begin with. =_=;; Also, did she notice the big ass "R" at the end of the trailor, or the dark tone?!

But Yeah, I am joining you in Watchmen hug's, I am sorta afraid of Alan Moore though, >_> So...I'll just Huggle JEH and JDM and see how it goes. :3

lol yeah, Alan Moore gives me the creeps, and today I would re-think that hug, but after reading that I was just so full of rage for the haters and love for all that is Watchmen.. I would have even hugged him. lol I was thinking of starting with JEH and then moving on to Zack, I'm bound to get stuck with either of them... ;P

Don't worry I was too. I hate it when people hate on "Watchmen" and give it shitty reviews. I personally think it's gunna go down as a Relevent classic. :D

JEH and Zack, they both seem like guy's I'd hang out with. xD I'd so Hug both of them. JDM seem's like a real sweetheart as well!

I hope so! I think they did a really good job with the movie, and that they handled everything with a lot of respect, which helped. I don't know, being such a dark story, people found it as a good outlet to pinpoint everything that's "wrong" with society today, like if Watchmen glorified violence and rape when it doesn't, AT ALL. Meh, I wish people could just get it. *sigh*

I think they all seem like cool guys that would be fun to hang out with, I love that. XD

Yeah they did! Hell, even my MOM saw that when I took her. She thought the art was amazing and she loved how detailed and interesting everything was. (She hadn't read the book.) Even she realized that the violence, gore, sexual content. It all had a definate purpose. She even went to see it again with me. I think it could be a classic cause well, a lot of classic's don't get the best review's when they first come out. It's only after they've been out a while when someone goe's "Holy shit taht's awesome!" and then tell's other's and they realize too.

Yeah, I know! Plus, they aren't too bad to look at either. ;D
